Diana Montero is a DEI professional with over 10 years of experience and has served as a senior consultant for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon.
Diana has a passion for advocacy and policy development and brings incredible perspective through her lived experience as an Afro-Cuban/Dominican woman. She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and working towards a Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration.
She’s also a board member for Fifty Shades of Purple, an organization that supports those victimized by bullying or abuse.
Ogho Ikahlo is an award-winning DEI leader with over 18 years of experience giving strategic policy and communications advice to C-Suite executives, analyzing policies through an intersectional equity lens, and providing issues management and media relations counsel on complex social issues.
Her DEI professional qualifications include Diversity and Inclusion Service Management Certificate ISO 30415:2021, IDI Qualified Administrator, Leadership Development Program for Management, and Mental Health First Aid.

Session Option 3:
The Black Women of the Movement
Learn about the significant role Black women played in Canada’s Rights Revolution. Get to know the key figures and their struggles against racial and gender-based discrimination, as well as the historical and ongoing fight for voting rights. The session also highlights the transformative role of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and concludes by celebrating current Black leaders in social justice.
