Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah translates to “head of the year” and is the Jewish New Year. It is a time for both celebration and repentance for the Jewish community.

Rosh Hashanah is a lunisolar observance and falls in September or October. This holiday marks the beginning of the Days of Awe and 9 days later, Yom Kippur marks the end.

We encourage you to read of CultureAlly’s blog post all about Rosh Hashanah.
