To simply say that you are not racist relieves you of your duty to be anti-racist and dismantle systems of oppression that have plagued people of color for centuries.
Why is Anti-Racism Education Important?
While you may not actively engage in racist speech or behaviors, it is very likely that you have implicit biases that you are completely unaware of because they are subconscious.
Whether or not you are aware of your implicit biases, they can have a significant impact on other people’s lives. Hence why it is not enough to simply not be racist.

Becoming an Anti-Racist Leader: Strategies and Action Steps for a More Inclusive Workplace
Course Overview: This introductory course is hosted by Dr. A. Breeze Harper and Dr. Keegan Walden. Its purpose is to help people understand the significance of anti-racism, how to create a more inclusive workplace and how to become an anti-racist leader.
Highlights: Supplemental materials (e.g., videos and surveys) are provided and you will have access to them for 1 year.
Duration and Cost: The course is broken down into 4 virtual, 1-hour sessions that can be completed at your own pace. It costs $400 per person to participate.
Anti-Racism for White People: Walking the Walk
Course Overview: This training hosted by Social Venture Partners are designed for White people, but people of color can participate as well. Participants learn how to identify and dismantle White supremacy, the reality of systemic racism and how to have tough conversations about race.
Highlights: There are three options to choose from, two are for individuals and one is for a group. The first is an online learning experience that can be completed at your own pace, the second is a year-long virtual cohort and the third is for workplace teams or cohorts of executives.
Duration and Cost: The course for individuals can be completed at your own pace and costs between $295 - $495.
Anti-Racism Training: Are You Ready to Talk About Racism?
Course Overview: This course is facilitated by Ashley Heidebrecht, LMSW. You will learn how to analyze bias, privilege and prejudice, reflect on your own identity, and integrate anti-racism practices in your everyday life.
Highlights: You can complete this course at your own pace and the training videos include open captions in English.
Duration and Cost: The course is broken down into 3 modules that take approximately 2 hours each to complete. General registration costs between $5 to $60.
Virtual Anti-Racism Training
Course Overview: Diversity Talks and PR(iSM) Resistance Coalition partnered to create an anti-racism course. The course focuses on strategies for engaging in tough conversations about race and taking action in your community.
Highlights: The course is completely virtual.
Duration and Cost: The course is split into 2 sections, each taking 1.5 hours to complete and the cost is unknown.
