9 Job Boards to Help You Meet Your DEI Hiring Goals

Your company is looking to hire more diverse talent to fulfill your diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) hiring goals.

You’ve reviewed hiring policies and procedures, eliminating bias and discrimination.

You’ve created a professional, inclusive atmosphere.

You’ve encouraged the formation of employee resource groups (ERGs) and fairly compensated ERG leaders.

You’ve done a million and one things to create an inclusive workplace.

So where is the diverse talent and why aren’t they knocking down your office door?

In addition to the aforementioned DEI strategies, it’s important for your company to actively seek out diverse talent. One way to do this is to partner with job boards that specialize in diversity, equity and inclusion.

What Is a Job Board?

Before the World Wide Web, job boards were physical bulletin boards with flyers advertising new opportunities for those seeking work. They were strategically placed in supermarkets, post offices and recreation centers.

Now, job boards are more commonly found on the Internet. The most common online job boards include LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Indeed. Job boards are an essential piece to the talent acquisition process.

There are certain job boards that focus specifically on diversity, equity and inclusion. These job boards serve marginalized populations such as Black, Indigenous, disabled and LGBTQ+ professionals.

They connect job seekers and open-minded employers with the goal of diversifying the working world; making it a more equitable and inclusive place for all.
